    Hesperidin is a flavonoid characteristic of citrus fruits, concentrated primarily in the peel (the whitish inner part). Hesperidin consists of a sugar moiety, the disaccharide, linked to the flavone hesperetin. Synthetic hesperidin has strong antioxidant and vasoprotective properties.
